During the beginning of the Apocs, Humanity found itself on the knife's edge of oblivion in a swiftly failing war against the invading Xeno species. Yet, amidst the turmoil, a visionary entrepreneur named Arthur Knight emerged as a beacon of hope. He was the founder and CEO of Knight Industries, a cutting-edge technology company specializing in robotics and military hardware based out of Vancouver Washington. Arthur, a man of both intellect and ambition, saw an opportunity to turn the tide of the invasion.

Drawing upon his company's vast resources and ingenuity, Knight spearheaded the creation of a revolutionary weapon: the Cavalier Power Armor. These suits, sleek and formidable, were a fusion of advanced machinery and military strategy. Piloted by highly trained soldiers, the Power Armor turned the tide of battle against the invaders. Earth's armies struck back in many key battles, and a glimmer of hope shone through the darkness.

For years, the war against the Xeno raged on, but Arthur Knight's technology and leadership held firm. The Power Armor proved a formidable adversary against the alien forces, and slowly but surely, humanity began to push back against their oppressors, but the Apochs had many more surprises in store for humanity, and winning one little war would not be enough to prevent catastrophe. Earth was forever changed. Cities lay in ruins, ecosystems were decimated, and society as it had once existed was shattered beyond repair.

Arthur Knight, who had poured his heart and soul into the war effort, faced a harsh reality. The world he had known was gone, and his company, once a titan of innovation, was left in ruins. Constant bickering between the ghosts of old world mega corporations, monsters, and a war that raged between the Mutant Revolutionary Army and The Militia forces of the ACR, took its toll on Knights holdings and operations. The resources of Knight Industries were depleted, and the vision for a prosperous future seemed unattainable.

But Arthur is not a man to simply fade into obscurity. Instead, he chose to adapt to the harsh new reality. Consolidating his remaining assets and corporate security forces in their former headquarters in Vancouver, Arthur chose to give up on any idea of his company returning to any sort of corporate structure. Abandoning all corporate ideas to adopt a new dream. A dream to carve out a kingdom where his technology and leadership could save the people of the wastelands.

Power Armor, once a symbol of humanity's salvation, now became the cornerstone of Arthur's new order. His corporate security that once served to carry out espionage and acquisitions meant to play the great corporate game were repurposed into a cadre of knights, each clad in the formidable suits of armor, to protect the citizens of his burgeoning kingdom. In exchange for this protection, the people of the wastelands serve as his loyal subjects, tilling the land, providing resources, and swearing fealty to their technological king. The Kingdom of Columbia now controls a great stretch of Washington, from the borders with SIGMA in Seattle, choosing to not provoke the sleeping giant, down through the Willamette Valley and to the new boomtown of Junktown.

As the years have passed, Arthur Knight's kingdom has flourished in its own peculiar way. It is a realm where power armor and technological prowess have replaced the ideals of the past. While not every Knight is completely pure of heart and without fault, The Kingdom of Columbia keeps its promises. Settlements under its banner live mostly peaceful lives, though the work is tough and the taxes are high. Raider groups are suppressed under the might of the armored knights and the people of Columbia sleep easily knowing they have their protectors.

Arthur may have given up on the idea of his company's recovery, but he had not abandoned his dream of a better world. In his own way, he seeks to bring order and safety to a world that had been forever changed by the Apochs, even if it meant becoming a ruler in a post-apocalyptic kingdom of his own making.
